Tiburon seventh-grader Cora Champommier had no idea her performance in Bel Aire Elementary School’s 2019 production of “Annie” would lead to a role in the new Disney Pixar movie “Soul,” which amid the pandemic is scheduled for a straight-to-streaming release on Dec. 25. Nevertheless, the 12-year-old found herself at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville with her mother last year, meeting Pete Docter, the director of “Up” and “Monsters, Inc.,” and voicing the part of Connie — a middle-school girl who plays trombone in the school band — in Docter’s newest animated film, which stars Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey.
