Yesterday, our hallways looked a little different and a lot brighter. For Bring Your Kids to Work Day, the World Bank Group welcomed some very special guests: the children of our staff. From curious questions about what we actually do all day, to wide-eyed reactions to the scale of what this institution works on, it was a powerful reminder of why we do this work. If we needed a reason to stay motivated in our mission of ending poverty on a livable planet, yesterday gave us about a hundred of them — in miniature form. To every young visitor who walked through our doors: you asked the hard questions, challenged us to explain our work in plain language, and reminded us that the future we're working toward belongs to you.
