The World Bank Group has closed its second transaction under the Emerging Markets Securitization Program (EMSP), bringing total issuance under the program to more than $1 billion. The $509 million collateralized loan obligation (CLO) builds on the success of the inaugural transaction and demonstrates how the World Bank Group’s originate-to-distribute model can mobilize private capital at scale to create jobs and drive growth across emerging markets. By pooling diversified IFC - International Finance Corporation-originated loans into rated securities, EMSP provides institutional investors with standardized access to high-quality emerging market credit while expanding financing for businesses. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the transaction continues to connect development finance with mainstream capital markets and helps build a scalable asset class for emerging markets.
