Agricultural transformation starts with smallholder farmers. Family farms produce around 80% of the world’s food, yet many struggle to generate more than a small surplus. With food demand projected to rise 30% by 2050, the need to support productivity and market access is urgent. That’s why the World Bank Group is advancing AgriConnect – with a goal to help 300 million farmers move from subsistence to surplus by 2030. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿: ➡️ First movers: Brazil, Senegal, Togo, and Papua New Guinea. 7 million farmers already benefiting, and more to come ➡️The momentum is real – and so is the opportunity to create more and better jobs while strengthening food security.
