On Monday I had the great pleasure of sharing a meal at The Ivy in Winchester with my friend, the American actor and writer Pepper Jensen: https://lnkd.in/erRk3cPv. What a fabulous lunch: literature, poetry, film, stage plays — and the sheer energy of creative life. Pepper is one of those relentlessly dynamic individuals whose enthusiasm is not only impressive, but infectious. He seems to live at full tilt, moving from idea to idea, project to project, with that rare combination of imagination, discipline and daring. I admire him greatly. Of course, being somewhat older, I did find myself wondering whether he pushes himself too hard. But then again, perhaps that is the point. When should one burn brightly, if not when one has the strength, vision and appetite to do so?
