Forty mayors from cities across North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific have signed a new agreement aimed at shaping how data centres are developed in urban areas, as concerns grow over their impact on electricity systems, water resources and climate goals. The pact was launched by C40 Cities, a network of nearly 100 cities focused on climate action, during London Climate Action Week.
