We’re proud to share that Scripps Research ranked #3 in the U.S. and #1 in the West in the inaugural 2026 Cure. Innovation Index, which recognizes the top-performing biomedical institutes and centers across the country. Selected among 303 institutions from more than 6,000 nationwide, the Index measures how effectively institutions translate scientific discovery into real-world healthcare solutions and treatments. Scripps Research also ranked #4 in Research Capabilities and #2 in Market Translation, reflecting the institute’s strong balance between scientific discovery and translational work. Contributing factors include Calibr-Skaggs, the institute’s drug discovery and development arm, faculty-led clinical trials and a Clinical and Translational Science Award.
