Congratulations to Daniel B. McClatchy on receiving the Al Yergey Mass Spectrometry Scientist Award at the 2026 American Society For Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Conference in San Diego. 🎉 The award honors dedication and significant contributions to mass spectrometry-based science by “unsung heroes” in the field. McClatchy is regarded as an influential contributor to neuroproteomics for pioneering methodological advances, as well as for his exceptional commitment to collaboration, training and community support. A member of John Yates’ lab for more than 20 years, McClatchy was recognized for expanding the capabilities of mass spectrometry in complex biological systems, including through the development of Stable Isotope Labeling of Mammals (SILAM) and Pulse Azidohomoalanine Labeling in Mammals (PALM) workflows for quantitative in vivo proteomics.
