Too many American workers are being left behind by rapid economic and technological change — not for lack of talent, but for lack of opportunity. In communities across the country, good jobs go unfilled, affordable housing is out of reach, and the coalitions needed to drive lasting change rarely share the same room. That's what Big Bets for America is built to change. This week in Cleveland, we brought together 400+ leaders from across sectors because these problems are too large for any one sector to solve alone. What came out of that room: 🏢 $13M committed by the Wellman family, KeyBank Foundation, and The Rockefeller Foundation toward the Site Readiness for Good Jobs Fund to transform vacant industrial land into a powerful engine for jobs creation and new development. 💼 $300M for the JobsOhio Experiential Learning Initiative to build skilled talent pipelines for 540,000 STEM jobs over the next decade. 🏠 $10M from Huntington Bank into the Cleveland Housing Investment Fund, advancing affordable homes for working families. Across all three #BigBetsForAmerica convenings — Oklahoma City, Baltimore, and now Cleveland — we've mobilized more than $450 million to help more Americans realize the promise of this country. The coalitions that made this possible would not have found each other on their own. That's exactly the point. Thank you to the Cleveland Foundation, Office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and Mayor Justin M. Bibb for showing what local leadership can deliver.
