Today’s Mass: July 10 Seven Holy Brothers & SS Rufina & Secunda, Martyrs The Feast of the Seven Holy Brothers, together with Saints Rufina and Secunda, honours Roman martyrs who chose fidelity to Christ over life, family security, marriage, and social acceptance. Saint Felicitas saw her seven sons suffer martyrdom before later giving her own life, becoming an image of Christian motherhood ordered wholly to heaven. Rufina and Secunda, virgin sisters, refused marriage to apostates and sealed their fidelity by martyrdom. The feast proclaims that true Christian kinship is found in doing the will of the Father, and that no earthly bond or worldly pressure may be preferred to Christ....
