Service doesn't end when the uniform comes off. After over 34 years in uniform, leadership roles at TRANSCOM, DLA Energy, and the Joint Staff, and almost 5,000 flight hours, Lt Gen Giovanni K. Tuck (USAF, ret.) has spent a career helping solve some of the military's most complex logistics challenges. In our latest Logistics Lens conversation, we discussed contested logistics, AI, industrial base readiness, and the lessons learned from COVID-19. Yet as General Tuck reflected on the relationship between government and industry, one idea stood above the rest. He offered a reminder of what motivates so many who continue serving long after leaving active duty: Trust. "Trust is probably the word that really closes the gaps, if there are any, between industry and the military..." Technology will evolve. Threats will change.
