Yasser S. Al Jaidah is the President and Chief Executive Officer of United Development Company (UDC), Qatar’s flagship real estate developer, leading the company’s strategic growth, flagship projects, and long term value creation. He took the helm in January 2025, bringing more than two decades of cross continental leadership in energy, infrastructure, and utilities, with a proven track record of transforming complex organizations into high performance, future‑ready businesses. Prior to UDC, Yasser served as Chief Executive Officer of Qatar District Cooling Company - Qatar Cool, where he drove the company’s expansion and strategic investments in district cooling and energy transition assets, significantly improving its financial and operational performance. Before that, he led South Hook LNG, one of Western Europe’s largest liquefied natural gas terminals, overseeing the facility that supplies about 20% of the UK’s LNG needs and contributing directly to the country’s energy security and economic resilience. Across his career at RasGas, ExxonMobil, and Qatar Petroleum linked entities, Yasser has managed large scale, multi billion dollar projects spanning four continents, including LNG value chain development, front end engineering, and deep water offshore programs. With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, and a PMP® certification, he combines deep technical expertise with sophisticated business acumen. Now at UDC, Yasser is steering iconic developments such as The Pearl‑Qatar and Gewan Island with a strong focus on sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and innovative real‑estate solutions. As an active member of the International District Energy Association and the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Foundation for Energy & Sustainable Development, he continues to champion the intersection of energy efficiency, urban development, and sustainable growth in Qatar and beyond.
