Fibroids Reflect a Biological Environment, Not an Isolated Event Fibroids are often treated as standalone growths. But biologically, they are the result of a broader tissue environment that evolves over time. This environment includes: • Hormonal signaling patterns • Immune system activity • Chronic inflammatory states • Extracellular matrix remodeling Each of these factors interacts long before fibroids become visible through imaging. That’s why focusing only on the tumor itself limits how far treatment and prevention can go. The Hope Project is built on a different premise: Understand the environment first, not just the outcome. Because prevention begins when we stop looking at fibroids as an endpoint. If you believe women’s health research should go upstream.
