MoveMate, the Montreal-founded moving marketplace built by FI Montreal grad Lucas Francioli, has been acquired by MovingWaldo, Canada's leading digital moving concierge platform. Lucas went through Founder Institute Montreal in 2019 with an idea to make moving simpler and more transparent for Canadians. MoveMate grew into a nationally recognized marketplace, expanded into the US, and partnered with major Canadian retailers, all on top of a booking system designed around customer experience. That platform now joins MovingWaldo, which operates across 14 Canadian markets and works with more than 100 verified moving partners. MoveMate's technology, traffic, and brand become part of that national network. In Lucas's words: "Seeing it live on within MovingWaldo means that vision continues at a national scale."
