The Football Regulatory Database: Building Governance Capacity Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States Canada is entering a period of renewed investment in sport infrastructure and long-term development. Infrastructure alone, however, does not close the legal, economic, and capacity gaps that continue to shape football governance across Canada Soccer, the Caribbean Football Union, and the wider CONCACAF region. The Football Regulatory Database was created to help close those gaps—through partnership, not in isolation. Our next phase reflects a shared commitment with universities, law firms, arbitration centres, and football institutions across the global game—including FIFA , CONCACAF , Canada Soccer, the Caribbean Football Union, and beyond. We have pledged ourselves to make football regulatory knowledge accessible to the wider region; we now invite institutions to pledge alongside us to ensure its continuity, reach, and long-term impact. Through our newly introduced pledges via Substack, institutions and professionals now have a clear opportunity to contribute directly to this ecosystem and shape the direction of the next generation. Proceeds are reinvested upstream to keep regulatory education accessible while building durable governance capacity in line with existing global standards. Pledges directly support accessible regulatory webinars for students and aspiring professionals, in-person engagement initiatives, and the development of a future regulatory working-group forum designed by Pitchside Sports Consulting (PSC) for regional institutional stakeholders. Our FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States strategy brings this commitment into practice through year-round virtual regulatory webinars and targeted in-person networking events across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. This is a practical, built-at-home solution—developing football governance expertise locally, sustainably, and at scale ⚽️ Pledges fuel access. Access builds capacity. Capacity closes the legal and economic gaps. #FootballLaw #LexSportiva #TheFootballRegulatoryDatabase #PitchsideSportsConsulting
