Shining a spotlight on one of the most meaningful wins from the 2026 Education Awards, congratulations to Maynooth University on taking home the Best Research Project award for the NeoSepsis project! 🎓 Led by Maynooth University in collaboration with Makerere University, the Irish Neonatal Health Alliance, Mulago National Referral Hospital, the Busoga Health Forum, and Accuplex Diagnostics, this groundbreaking research has developed a rapid, point-of-care diagnostic test to detect neonatal and maternal sepsis in Uganda and other low-resource environments. It is a richly deserved recognition for a research consortium whose work is not just advancing medical science but saving lives in some of the world's most vulnerable communities.
