The public inquiry into Daphne's assassination identified Glenn Bedingfield as a key operator in the orchestrated campaign to dehumanise Daphne and delegitimise her work. He operated from within the Office of the Prime Minister, as an aide to disgraced former prime minister Joseph Muscat. Malta's newly re-elected Prime Minister Robert Abela has appointed Glenn Bedingfield as Minister for Home Affairs and National Security, with responsibility for the police and security services. Bedingfield served as parliamentary secretary in Abela's previous government.
