Battery supply delays risk for JLR after Somerset gigafactory construction problems 🔋🤔 There is the risk of delays for Jaguar Land Rover to the first deliveries of electric car batteries from a multibillion-pound government-backed factory in Somerset after construction problems, according to reports. The Agratas – A Tata Enterprise factory in Bridgwater will supply the batteries for the British carmaker's new electric models. Indian industrial conglomerate Tata owns Agratas and JLR. Only the second in the UK - the battery factory - is widely seen as a key step in the domestic car industry’s transition away from fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
