🎙️ Revisiting a past episode of Talking About Blood! As we take a short break from new episodes this month, we’re revisiting conversations that continue to shape how we think about care in hematology. In this episode (TAB #13), Dr. Adir Shaulov joined Helen Osborne to explore the role of palliative care in hematologic malignancies. Drawing from his experience as both a hematologist and palliative care specialist, Dr. Shaulov reflects on why patients with blood cancers often receive less palliative support than those with solid tumors, and what can be done to better integrate these approaches into care. The conversation offers a thoughtful look at the clinical, structural, and human dimensions of treating serious hematologic disease, and the importance of aligning care with patient needs across the disease course. We’ll be back next month with new episodes and have an exciting line up of new guests. In the meantime, we invite you to revisit this important conversation. #TalkingAboutBlood #TheBloodProject #Hematology #MedicalEducation #PalliativeCare #HealthHumanities
