Presentation of MARQ Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante, laureate of the the European Museum Academy's DASA Award 2024. https://lnkd.in/drFavj9H The MARQ is committed to renewing the traditional exhibition system with its own unique approach that, without compromising scientific rigor, offers a surprising and engaging learning experience. It presents a new vision of archaeology and history accessible to all audiences, through a journey across the civilizations and peoples that inhabited the province of Alicante. Each room is dedicated to a specific era—Prehistory, the Iberian World, Roman Culture, the Middle Ages, and the Modern Age—alongside three additional spaces that explain archaeological methods in field, urban, and underwater contexts. The museum also features appealing educational and accessibility resources. Presented by Gema Sala Pérez, Head, Education, Accessibility and Social Responsibility Unit, MARQ Foundation Gema Sala Pérez holds a degree in Geography and History from the University of Alicante. She also holds a Master's Degree in Teacher Training and a Master's in the Management of Cultural Spaces and Projects. She is the Head of the Education, Accessibility, and Social Responsibility Unit at the MARQ Foundation (C.V. MARQ). She is the author and co-author of various publications and articles related to heritage education and museum accessibility. Gema is an active member of prominent working groups focused on research, education, teaching methodology, and accessibility. She also serves as a guest lecturer in courses and master's programs related to heritage and accessibility.
