A lot of people write off investment banking before they even try. Too competitive. Too male-dominated. Not for someone like me. We hear it constantly. And it's just not true. Here's the reality: The work is genuinely impactful. As an Analyst, you're sitting at the table for some of the most consequential business decisions in the world. You are seeing, in real time, mergers that reshape industries, capital raises that fund companies building real things. You're 22, fresh out of university, and you're contributing to that. Very few careers give you that exposure this early. The "it's not for me" myth: The banks actively want diverse backgrounds and diverse thinking. The best analysts we've seen come from economics, engineering, history - you name it. Teams that think the same way make the same mistakes. And banks know this too. The rise of women in finance: Women now make up 53% of the entry-level banking workforce. And the women who've pushed through? They're running the industry. Abigail P. Johnson: Chairman & CEO, Fidelity Investments Adena Friedman: Chair & CEO, Nasdaq Thasunda Brown Duckett: President and CEO, TIAA (where 57% of employees are women!) Sharon Yeshaya: Executive VP and CFO, Morgan Stanley Yes, women still hold less than 17% of senior IB positions. But that gap isn't a reason to stay out. It's a reason more women need to get in. IB isn't impossible. It's for anyone who understands the process early enough and puts in the work. #InvestmentBanking #WomenInFinance #DiversityInFinance #IBInternship #FinanceCareers
