The trans-Atlantic fusion between Chicago-founded Winston & Strawn and London-based Taylor Wessing is now up and running as Winston Taylor, with firm leaders touting their services as "actionable advice that is innovative." The combination — first announced in December 2025 — creates an organization with more than 1,400 lawyers that’s on pace to generate about $1.75 billion in revenue. Some questions linger over the timing of the integration of all offices and the fact that some Taylor Wessing offices in continental Europe are not part of the combination but still have the Taylor Wessing name. However, leaders of the merged firms say the integration of U.K. and U.S. offices was the heart of the deal, noting the combination is already generating trans-Atlantic business opportunities. In an interview, chairman Steve D'Amore and managing partner for Europe and the Middle East Shane Gleghorn said they’re capitalizing on London-based clients’ interest in U.S. debt markets, as well as opportunities in tech, life sciences, energy and healthcare sectors made possible by the combined footprint and capabilities.
