Last week, ThayerMahan welcomed members of Congress and U.S. Navy leadership to our Groton, CT headquarters to discuss the rapidly evolving maritime security environment - and the growing demand for autonomous sensing at scale. At a time when global tensions are rising across multiple theaters, traditional naval forces are under increasing strain. During the visit, we demonstrated how our uncrewed, autonomous acoustic intelligence systems are already being used operationally to close surveillance gaps, protect critical maritime infrastructure, and preserve high‑value crewed assets for the most demanding missions. Visitors toured our manufacturing and operations facilities where they met the engineers and operators behind systems like Outpost®, SeaPicket®, SeaGuard™ and TransparenSea® - all designed, built, and operated by a highly skilled Connecticut workforce. Discussions focused on how autonomous, cost-effective sensing can complement exquisite naval platforms, deliver persistent maritime domain awareness, protect our ports, and respond to urgent national security needs, with speed and scale. As Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) stated, “...ThayerMahan is ready now to deliver the capability that our Naval, Coast Guard, and Border forces need at an incredible pace and impressive scale.” ThayerMahan is proud to be the premiere provider of acoustic intelligence solutions supporting the Navy, Coast Guard, and interagency partners. Recent increases in demand domestically and internationally for ThayerMahan’s systems have solidified our role as an enduring, central supplier for advanced undersea and maritime solutions.
