ExoMars’ backshell system has left Thales Alenia Space’s clean rooms in Cannes and is on its way to Ariane Group premises in Bordeaux. The backshell system’s flight model, developed by Thales Alenia Space in Cannes, will be equipped by Ariane Group with a thermal protection system which will ensure the spacecraft’s entry in the Martian atmosphere.
