🛰️ A unique deployable reflectarray antenna demonstrator, the result of a European collaboration! As part of a study led by European Space Agency - ESA and our Luxembourgish partner EURO-COMPOSITES-GROUP, Thales Alenia Space’s teams have designed and tested a new demonstrator for a very large deployable reflectarray antenna that was manufactured by Eurocomposites. This innovative technology, which offers an alternative to traditional parabolic reflectors, combines exceptional flatness with great flexibility, thereby enabling extremely precise geographical coverage. Tests carried out by our teams in Toulouse have confirmed the quality and effectiveness of this antenna, opening up new possibilities for advanced applications in telecommunications and observation radars. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to a 20+ year track record regarding this technology, combined with advanced modelling, analysis, and optimization.
