I met Benoit DUPONT and Jade Francine in India in 2017, and we immediately decided to build WeMaintain together: a company built on a simple conviction that elevator and escalator maintenance could be more transparent, more data-driven, and better run for both clients and field teams. We started in a small Paris apartment, then a tiny coworking space, and over the years grew into a multi-continental business. I left in late 2024 after eight years building the company, and now, as I build CardNexus, I have even more respect for how rare that journey really is. Today, Otis Elevator Co. has invested in WeMaintain and is now its major shareholder. What matters most to me is what this validates: from day one, we believed the future of this industry would come from combining software, IoT and AI with field expertise. Not technology layered onto legacy processes, but a different operating model built around transparency, responsiveness, and better tools for engineers and clients. Congratulations to Ben, Jade, and the amazing teams, past and current, who carried WeMaintain from that first apartment to a global business. A special mention as well to the product and engineering team, which has grown well beyond what I left behind - David F., Timothée͏͏ Bourguignon, Damien WEBER, Marine A., to name just a few. And thank you to the investors who believed in us early and kept backing the journey through every stage, with a special mention to Michael Benabou and Clément Lamolinerie that also share my CardNexus journey. An important milestone for WeMaintain, and proof that building differently in a traditional industry can work.
