After years of studying food insecurity and pay-what-you-can community cafes, Lori Borchers ’21 PhD applied the model to something tangible: Frog Supply, a store for TCU nursing students. Borchers, an assistant professor in the TCU Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences, had students in her Public Health Nursing class design the store, which opened in October 2024. The philosophy behind the operation is built on a simple premise: “Maybe this time they can’t pay, maybe next time they can,” Borchers said. “Everybody can come in and benefit from it.” Read more in TCU Magazine’s latest Faculty Q&A: https://lnkd.in/e34j8jNr
