Cities can change storms, but the impacts depend on the storm itself. A new study from Texas A&M College of Arts & Sciences researchers analyzed more than 40,000 storms across Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston and found that urban areas can strengthen some storms while weakening others, depending on the storm type.
