Some technologies do not just improve how we work – they redefine everything. Electricity was one of them. At tesa’s TechDay 2026, our CTO Ingrid Sebald named the next: AI is the general-purpose technology. It is changing our industries, our customers, our supply chains, and the way we work and learn. That is why we are putting it at the heart of our strategy – under a motto that was meant literally: The Future is now. Her challenge to everyone in the room: identify one idea with real impact, question one assumption that holds you back, and commit to one action you start tomorrow. The day delivered plenty of places to start: ➡️ Debonding on Demand: nine volts, 60 seconds, residue-free – adhesive bonds that open on command, making batteries and displays replaceable ➡️ Deep dives into the factory of the future, trusted data and AI, simulation, and the lab of tomorrow ➡️ The HUGO Impact Award: a record 79 teams showing real, measurable impact – including the adhesive that enables the world’s first crease-free foldable smartphone Two external perspectives sharpened the view: Monica Dalla Riva Chief Design Officer at Deutsche Telekom AG, reminded us that customers do not care about models, algorithms, or computing power – they want solutions that remove friction from their lives. And Dr. Renata Jovanovic of Deloitte shared lessons from India’s innovation ecosystems. Her wake-up call stuck: dream audaciously, innovate unapologetically. From the marketplace to the closing get-together, one thing became clear: the future is not waiting. And neither are we. #TechDay2026 #Innovation #TheFutureIsNow #HoldingTheWorldTogether
