Hello, LinkedIn! We’re excited to share more about Terrapin Think Tank (TTT)! 🐢💡 We are the University of Maryland’s first student-led policy incubator, dedicated to developing innovative, community-driven policy solutions to health challenges facing residents of Prince George’s County. Housed within the University of Maryland School of Public Health Office of Public Health Practice and Community Engagement, TTT creates opportunities for students, faculty, and policymakers to collaborate on improving the health and well-being of the local community. ✨ How it started TTT was founded in Fall 2021 by Daniel Fong (‘23) and Isha Yardi (‘23)—during a conversation over bubble tea. What began as an idea to give students a platform to research and advocate for meaningful health policy solutions has grown into a thriving initiative working directly with the Prince George’s County Health Department to research, develop, and advocate for county-wide public health policies. Since its founding, the TTT Fellowship has nurtured a community of 26 alumni committed to improving community health through policy and research. 🌱 Current Leadership Roshni Pallavajjala - Co-Director Anushka Poddar - Co-Director Amrutha Alibilli - Associate Director of Funding and Communication Madeleine Eng - Associate Director of Teaching and Recruitment Nandani Sharma - Associate Director of Community Outreach & Project Manager Vibha Ramu - Project Manager Parth Agarwal - Project Manager Zoya Masood - Project Manager Thank you to everyone who continues to support this work! #PublicHealth #HealthPolicy #UMD #PrinceGeorgesCounty #StudentLeadership #CommunityHealth
