Urban ecosystems help cities breathe. They purify air, regulate temperature, and support life, yet much of this activity goes unseen.   Tencent developed an ecological mapping approach to make these hidden systems visible. By gathering observations from parks, gardens, and neighbourhoods, and combining them into a shared digital map, a clearer picture of urban life begins to emerge.   With public participation, the map continues to grow, revealing where habitats connect, where they have fragmented, and where stronger links are needed.
