The technologies to decarbonize heavy industry, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and store clean energy at scale already exist. The harder problem is getting them out of the lab and into the places that need them most. That's what CarbonX was built to solve. Tencent and TED Countdown are bringing the 2026 CarbonX winners together at the Science Museum in London for London Climate Action Week on June 24. The teams were selected from more than 660 applicants across 54 countries, and will compete for grants to pilot their solutions in climate-vulnerable communities around the world.
