The Apple iOS 27 developer beta went live at #WWDC. Since then, TELUS Digital’s Director of Engineering Practices Andrew Carter and his team have been deep in exploration and experimentation, separating the signal from the noise. Here's what Andrew found matters most for development teams and product owners: • iOS 27 is a Snow Leopard-style release: If you're building with Swift and SwiftUI, your app gets significant performance gains automatically. No code changes required. • Apple Intelligence has moved from promise to real competitor: Siri AI draws on personal context across emails, calendar and third-party apps to surface what users need before they ask. If you've invested in App Intents and Spotlight indexing, your app is already part of this system. • Privacy is an architecture, not a tagline: Apple's Private Cloud Compute processes sensitive tasks off-device without storing data. That’s verifiable, not assumed. With 83% of users surveyed by TELUS Digital wanting AI that is ambient, voice-forward and moves with them across devices, iOS 27 is a significant step in that direction. Read Andrew's full breakdown and find out where your app stands. https://lnkd.in/eAFRUzWJ
