Hundreds of people in a Spaces. offices | co-working | meeting rooms. International Organizations. Private sector companies. HR leaders. Recruiters. Professionals in transition. And yet, one sentence kept coming back all day during the Career Fair – International Geneva: “I’m not sure the private sector will understand my profile.” —or— “I’m not sure someone from the UN / NGOs will fit our company culture.” Two worlds. The same city. And still… a surprising amount of distance between them. That is exactly why we organized this Career Fair. The day opened with a strong message from Patrick Nicollier: careers are no longer linear. Transitions are not anomalies — they are becoming the rule. We also heard the remarkable journey of Alma Escobar, shared through EHL, with Catherine Rey and Jordan Peschard showing how professional paths can cross sectors when curiosity and continuous learning are part of the equation. At a time when many professionals in International Geneva are impacted by restructuring, Beatrice Ferrari, from the Direction des affaires internationales (DAI) | État de Genève, also delivered an important message of support to the International community. Throughout the day, our speakers shared very concrete perspectives from the field: Dala Egger, Rebecca Schmitt, Galya Rofeh – Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance Aurelia Rutge – Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) Thomas Sroussi – Managing Director Switzerland, Chaberton Professionals No theory. Just real-life experience on recruitment, employability and mobility between sectors. At TnP, we also tried to bring very practical tools to the discussion through workshops on: • Transferability of skills • Networking in Switzerland • TalentAI, the AI-powered Career Companion developed by Guillaume Stollsteiner, based on 13 years of experience supporting career transitions and recruitment. Huge thanks as well to Kasmira Jefford for moderating the closing roundtable, and to Bénédicte Leuliet Jourquin from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Marta Campêlo from Neural Concept, the Chaberton Professionals recruiters, and the TnP / Transition & Performance consultants, who spent the day running Speed CV Reviews for participants. As our founder said, employability is part of the employees' responsibility...Are you ready to invest in what it takes to succeed? But here’s the real question we left the room with: Are we ready in Geneva to truly build bridges between International Organizations and the private sector — or do we still prefer to stay in our comfort zones? If you attended the Career Fair, we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. What surprised you the most? What should we do differently next time? And most importantly: what should happen next? A few pictures from the day below — more coming soon. #InternationalGeneva #GenevaInternational #CareerTransition #Employability #ProfessionalMobility #HR #TalentManagement #CareerFair #TnP #TalentAI
