This International Women in Engineering Day, we’re celebrating the voices and journeys shaping the future of engineering at Teladoc Health. Meet Mary Jinugu, Sr. Manager Quality Center of Excellence as she shares how being a woman in engineering means owning the space, fully and unapologetically. Early in her career, she didn’t always see women in senior technical roles to look up to. Instead, she built her path with the support of mentors and a commitment to continuous learning, an approach that now shapes how she leads. What started as a pursuit of practical skills quickly evolved into navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and building systems that remove repetitive work, freeing teams to focus on what truly requires human thinking. Her story is a reminder that technical excellence has no gender, and that curiosity, resilience, and a learner’s mindset are what truly drive impact.
