𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙣𝙤𝙨𝙤𝙛𝙩. In this new interview, we get to know Maurizio Nicolini, Developer at Tecnosoft, through his professional experience, teamwork, and passions outside of work. 🔷 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻? I’ve been working at Tecnosoft since 1990. My passion for computers started at a young age, and after completing my military service, I began my career as a programmer at Tecnosoft. 🔷 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲? A programmer’s main task is to break down complex problems into smaller, solvable ones. I enjoy finding innovative solutions for customers’ needs, often by thinking “out of the box” and staying at the edge of technology. 🔷 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲? In the 1990s, IT was still in its early stages and it was easier to work across different areas. Today, development tools and AI simplify repetitive tasks, allowing us to focus more on innovation and complex challenges. I also manage Tecnosoft’s internal IT network, which lets me collaborate with the entire team. 🔷 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼? Over the years I’ve developed many solutions (Since I’m not a father, I consider them all my "daughters") but I’m especially attached to the TS Manager, our datalogger management software, and the internal sensor calibration management system. 🔷 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂? Working for the same company for such a long time has definitely shaped my life journey. Over the years, the company has operated across many different industries, giving me the opportunity to experience very diverse environments from knitwear and hospital equipment to territory monitoring and food production. Without a doubt, versatility and the ability to adapt your way of thinking to a constantly changing world are the greatest lessons I will carry with me throughout my life journey. 🔷 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? I’m passionate about Physics and Astronomy and have been part of the Gruppo Astrofili Rozzano for over 40 years. I also contribute to the activities of the Rozzano Civic Astronomical Observatory.
