Rylo (Techstars 2021), an AI-powered communication platform built for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community, has raised $85M. Founded by Tomer Aharoni and Alon Ezer, the company began as a free, FCC-certified captioning app and has since grown into a broader platform spanning real-time captions, text-to-speech, and sign language translation. The new funding will accelerate expansion of its product suite, including workplace accessibility tools, fraud detection, and Rylo Sign, an AI sign language platform supporting dozens of signed and spoken languages.
