At Cyber Sashakt Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow, Dr. Omkar Rai, former Director General, STPI, said cybersecurity presents both a challenge and an opportunity for Uttar Pradesh. Speaking at the programme organised by TrendAI and Tech Observer Magazine, Dr Rai said a state with the scale of Uttar Pradesh must secure its digital assets, strengthen cyber awareness and build capacity across departments, institutions and citizens. He also highlighted the need to involve young minds, students, startups, technology providers and government officials in building cybersecurity solutions. According to him, Uttar Pradesh should not only consume technology but also create products, platforms and innovation-led solutions in this space. Dr Rai said cybersecurity cannot be treated as a one-time exercise.
