Introducing Nerea: a standardized modular solution for plastic chemical recycling ♻️ We are pleased to announce the commercial launch of Nerea, a new industrial offering for plastics recycling, combining Alterra’s proven recycling technology, Neste’s chemical recycling expertise, and Technip Energies’ industrial delivery capability. Global plastics production has nearly doubled over the past two decades. Circularity rates are not keeping pace with continuing consumption growth, resulting in significant volumes of plastic waste that still end up in incinerators, landfills or released into the environment.  As demand for recycled and circular feedstocks continues to grow, the adoption of advanced recycling will depend on industrial solutions that can deliver at scale, while bringing greater confidence across the project lifecycle. Nerea converts heterogeneous and hard-to-recycle plastic waste into high-quality feedstock for the petrochemical industry, supporting waste operators, project developers, refiners and petrochemical players in scaling chemical recycling with greater predictability and reduced complexity, from concept to industrial deployment.
