Producing wind turbine blades is a high-stakes exercise in precision A single manufacturing error can lead to costly repairs, large amounts of wasted material or, in the worst case, a blade that must be discarded 😯 At DTU Risø Campus, Associate Professor Philipp Haselbach and colleagues from DTU Wind and Energy Systems are developing and testing new production methods designed to identify risks earlier and make blade manufacturing more reliable. The video shows how digital simulations and physical experiments can work together to prevent hidden weaknesses before they become expensive problems. The research was carried out as part of the AIOLOS project in collaboration with Aalborg University, Force Technology, Pontis Engineering, and Siemens Gamesa. Photos in the video by Bax Lindhardt
