🏎️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 Last week, the students behind Vermilion Racing unveiled its most ambitious machine to date at the amazing Classic Car House in Lyngby. And honestly, we are blown away by the level of technical expertise, dedication and teamwork behind it. For the students in Vermilion Racing, the project is about much more than building a race car. It is a chance to take what they learn in lectures and put it to work in the workshop. Here, they solve real engineering challenges, make tough design decisions and collaborate across disciplines. And that is exactly what DTU Blue Dot projects are all about: giving students the space to turn theory into hands-on experience and build something from start to finish. Dean of Studies and Student Affairs Lars D. Christoffersen joined the team at the reveal and highlighted how Blue Dot initiatives help students develop practical engineering and collaboration skills. The next stop for Vermilion Racing is Silverstone, where the team will compete in Formula Student UK. We look forward to seeing the car in action 🏁 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗿 Thanks to an optimised spaceframe design, a reworked powertrain and a completely new electrical system capable of precise live telemetry from every sensor onboard, the team is ready to battle it out on the track.
