A busy and inspiring week for Techex across three industry events ✨ On Tuesday, Techex's Industry Engagement Manager Russell Trafford-Jones joined the #¡AU! Diversity & Excellence Summit, where the On Air project was a major talking point. Russell highlighted the importance of spotlighting student communities worldwide through this year’s 24-hour live broadcast in October, a truly global initiative bringing fresh voices into the media landscape, and one that Techex is proud to support. The following day, Russell took part in an RTS webinar, diving deeper into the technical side of On Air. He explored both the challenges and the excitement of building a large-scale contribution and distribution workflow, connecting live feeds from over 50 universities and education partners, across 6 continents into five simultaneous live channels. A complex, ambitious project that’s pushing boundaries in live broadcast. Additionally, many of the Techex team gathered at BT Tower for an evening of industry updates and discussion. The session covered a range of emerging technologies, including MXL and TAMS, as well as ongoing developments within JT-DMF and the VSF. It was a great opportunity to stay connected with the direction of technologies across the live broadcast ecosystem.
