Man-in-the-Middle attacks come in many forms. Here's what each one actually does: 1. Email Hijacking: attackers take over email accounts to monitor conversations and trick victims into sending money or credentials. 2. Wi-Fi Eavesdropping: fake "free Wi-Fi" networks steal everything you type. Passwords, messages, payment info. 3. DNS Spoofing: you think you're on your bank's website. You're not. Attackers redirect you to a fake login page. 4. Session Hijacking: after you log in, attackers steal your session cookie and access your account from their own browser. 5. SSL Hijacking: attackers intercept data between you and a server, exploiting older, vulnerable encryption protocols. 6. ARP Cache Poisoning: your device is tricked into sending all network traffic to the attacker instead of the real network gateway. 7. IP Spoofing: a malicious site's IP address is modified to look like a legitimate website you trust. 8. Stealing Browser Cookies: combined with other attacks, criminals steal stored cookies to access saved passwords and credit cards. The takeaway? Strong network security, MFA, and a healthy skepticism of public Wi-Fi go a long way. Ready to lock down your business? Let's talk. #mitm #tech #technology #cybersecurity #cybersafety
