His coworkers thought the restaurant had bought enterprise software. They asked what it was going to cost. Turns out Andrew Bybee built it himself, with AI, in between shifts. Andrew's an art student who's never written code. With OpenAI's Codex, he built a tool that catches missed clock-outs before they hit payroll and flags overstaffed shifts before they go over budget. The Korean BBQ restaurant he works at now runs on it every day. We met Andrew at the Handshake AI Showcase, where students from every major and background demoed what they'd built for employers who are hiring. Andrew wasn't the exception in that room. Students everywhere are using AI to solve real problems for the people around them, and that's exactly the signal employers should be screening for. Curious what the data says about Gen Z, AI, and early talent hiring? Handshake's Director of Research breaks it all down โ https://lnkd.in/eSm8FTSK
