Designing sensors for a car that parks itself is a different challenge than designing sensors for a car that simply needs to know how fast a wheel is spinning. The system expectations and accuracy requirements are different, and so is what failure looks like. As vehicles become more electrified, connected, and autonomous, sensors provide the trusted data needed for everything from braking and steering to predictive maintenance and passenger comfort.
