We are proud to recognize Neeley Fellow Mame Diarra Niang (’27) for earning Gold (First Place) at the Global Best M-Gov Awards for her startup, Bakame AI. Presented at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, the award highlights innovation that drives meaningful public-sector impact on a global stage. Through Bakame AI, Jaara delivers educational content via ordinary phone calls, removing the need for smartphones or internet access and expanding learning opportunities for the estimated 2.9 billion people worldwide who remain offline. Her work reflects the purpose-driven leadership cultivated within the Neeley Fellows program and the broader TCU community. With support from TCU’s CREATE accelerator, including early mentorship and seed funding to pilot the venture in Rwanda, her idea evolved into a scalable solution with real-world reach. Jaara exemplifies what it means to be a Neeley Fellow by pairing innovation with impact and leadership with service. We are proud to celebrate her achievement and the example she sets for the Neeley Fellows community.
