Was reading psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich's Wikipedia profile earlier and came across this gem: "Over the years the FDA interviewed physicians, Reich's students and his patients, asking about the orgone accumulators [modified Faraday cages intended to harmonize sexual energy to treat neuroses]. A professor at the University of Oregon who bought an accumulator told an FDA inspector that he knew the device was phony, but found it helpful because his wife sat quietly in it for four hours every day." 😂😬 https://lnkd.in/e5JqQ5PW
