TasPorts Chair Greg McCann has today announced the extended appointment of Captain Allan Gray as Chief Executive Officer of TasPorts, through to 1 December 2027. Mr McCann said, “we are fortunate to have secured Captain Gray’s experienced maritime leadership as TasPorts progresses a significant program of infrastructure investment, operational improvement and strategic delivery.” Captain Gray brings more than four decades of maritime and port experience and has provided strong strategic direction, operational leadership and stability since joining TasPorts in March 2026. Captain Gray was initially appointed to provide leadership continuity while the Board undertook a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process for the permanent CEO role. Following completion of that process, the Board determined that retaining Captain Gray provides the strongest outcome and is in the best interests of TasPorts. The Board will undertake a future recruitment process ahead of the conclusion of Captain Gray’s tenure in 2027. For more: https://lnkd.in/gM8x7DPQ #Tasmania #leadership #ceo #shipping
