Dredging operations recently commenced at the Port of Devonport, marking an important milestone in our major maintenance project. As one of Tasmania’s largest freight hubs, between three to four million tonnes of freight transits through the Port of Devonport each year, including essential commodities such as fuel and general cargo. Keeping freight moving for our island state is our primary role. This dredging campaign is critical to ensuring navigational channels and berths remain at their design depths, supporting safe and efficient operations for our customers and visiting vessels. 🎥 Listen to TasPorts’ Harbour Master Captain Mick Wall and Manager Environment and Sustainability Susan McLeod talk more about why we’re dredging at the Port of Devonport. ⌨️ Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gCuAT_aB
