Head of Communications for South Asia at Mastercard
It was great to be part of Mastercard’s In The Loop series, sharing our latest announcement from India on agentic commerce. What we demonstrated goes beyond a tech milestone. It signals a fundamental shift in how commerce will work in an AI‑first world — where intelligent agents don’t just recommend or assist, but act, transact, and complete journeys seamlessly and securely on behalf of consumers and businesses. And for #communicators, moments like these reinforce our role as translators of change. Our job isn’t just to announce innovation, but to shape understanding — connecting complex technology to real-world impact, building confidence, and telling stories that help people see not just what’s new, but 'why' it matters. On a personal note, this experience reinforced the value of the time I invested in a seven‑month AI orientation programme at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Meaningful, contextual storytelling has to be grounded in a solid understanding of the technology itself. Excited about what this development means for India, for the ecosystem, and for the future of trusted AI‑led commerce. And grateful — this was truly a collective effort. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
